About Their Love for Us
I carry within me a sense of deprivation.
It is not tied to a single place,
Which is called home, I once left behind,
but to the absence of something believed to be universal:
The bond between parent and child.
They say home is innate,
The most primal anchor of human life.
Yet when I cut that anchor loose,
what remains is a void without substitute.
That is the thing which most people would be afraid of.
