The Pupa Troupe is a multidisciplinary experimental theatre collective. Founded in 2018 by young performer and theatre director Peng LU, it brings together creators from diverse backgrounds including circus stilt-walking, experimental drama, avant-garde physical performance, and independent music. Pupa Troupe tears open the boundaries of the stage, embracing a pioneering spirit of “unconventionality, counter-culturalism and cross-genre theatre” to seek new possibilities of expression within the familiar.
